HR Manager - Ypres

What is your challenge? 

In this role, you will have final responsibility for HR within a rapidly evolving SME environment. You will work closely with the business, collaborate directly with management, and combine operational responsibility with strategic development. Specifically, this means that you will manage the entire HR domain for the Ypres site, working closely with the group.

What is your range of duties?

  • You manage payroll and personnel administration from A to Z and ensure that everything runs correctly, on time, and in accordance with the law.
  • You recruit employees yourself at various levels: from workers to management profiles.
  • You structure and optimize HR processes and tools.
  • You advise the CEO and managers on social legislation, contracts, and personnel issues.
  • You monitor the HR budget and track personnel costs and HR indicators.
  • You act as a point of contact and sounding board for employees and managers regarding day-to-day HR questions.
  • You actively participate in strategic HR projects and contribute to transformation, process optimization, and organizational development.
  • You help build a clear corporate culture and transparent internal communication.
  • You bring structure to HR and take this domain to a higher level, step by step.

Your context

This standalone HR role means that you will manage the entire HR domain yourself, with direct impact and scope to set your own priorities. You will report directly to the CEO.

Instead of a long checklist, we are primarily looking for someone who:

  • built up solid HR expertise (at least 15 years), preferably in a generalist role,
  • feels comfortable in an SME context,
  • is strong both operationally and strategically,
  • works independently, but communicates in a way that connects people.
