Plant Manager
What is your challenge?
As Plant Manager, you will be the lead of daily operations and ensure efficiency, quality and profitability. With a focus on technical leadership and people management, you will play a key role in optimizing processes, developing and motivating teams, and contributing to the growth of a dynamic organization.
What is your range of duties?
- Operational & Technical Oversight: Manage the entire production process, ensuring targets are met with a strong focus on technical excellence.
- Continuous Improvement: Use production data to implement cost reduction strategies and optimize workflows.
- Inventory & Supply Chain Management: Maintain inventory levels, reduce excess stock, and prevent shortages.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet stringent quality standards and align with customer requirements.
- Customer Alignment: Guarantee production schedules align with customer demands and delivery timelines.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Procurement Management: Oversee the purchase of materials and plant-related goods efficiently.
- Team Leadership: Evaluate and develop team performance through regular feedback and coaching.
- Resource Management: Identify and recruit qualified talent to meet both operational and strategic goals.
- Performance & Development: Guide team leaders in achieving their objectives while fostering professional growth.
Who are you?
Education & Experience
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a similar field.
- Proven Track Record: 5-10 years of experience as an Operations or Plant Manager in a manufacturing environment, with tangible results in process optimization and team performance; of which at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Skills
- In-depth knowledge of production management, quality control, and safety standards.
- Proficient in ERP systems and other manufacturing software.
- Strong technical affinity with the ability to maintain an overview of assets and processes.
- Proven track record in Lean Manufacturing and process improvement techniques.
- Analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Extensive knowledge of safety, environmental regulations, and quality standards.
- Exceptional leadership, communication and organizational skills.
- A collaborative mindset to work effectively with various departments and external partners.
Language Skills
- Fluency in German and English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
- Additional knowledge of Dutch or Romanian is an asset.
