Supply Chain Officer
What is your challenge?
The Supply Chain Officer is responsible for 5 key areas: Purchase indirect spend - demand planning & forecasting - production planning - inbound & outbound logistics - customer service. You are responsible for managing the team and above 5 operations in a hands-on, operational way, in collaboration with the plant manager.
What is your range of duties?
1. Purchase Indirect Spend
- Responsible for negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers of indirect materials.
- Continuously evaluating suppliers based on quality, delivery times, and cost structure.
- Ensuring accurate data in the ERP system and processing all relevant purchase contracts.
- Reviewing and resolving purchase invoices and complaints.
2. Demand Planning & Forecasting
- Responsible for inventory management and ensuring accurate forecasts.
- Analyzing stock levels relative to sales and adjusting when necessary to ensure minimum stock levels.
3. Production Planning
- Keeping the overview of daily production planning.
- Actively contributing to guidelines, quality standards, and procedures to improve supply chain efficiency.
4. Inbound & Outbound Logistics
- Ensuring that all incoming goods are processed in the ERP system.
- Negotiating with transport providers and monitoring transportation costs.
5. Customer Point of Contact
- Serving as the contact point for customers regarding complaints, project coordination, and delivery timelines.
Who are you?
- Bachelor's degree, ideally in Supply Chain Management,Logistics, Business Administration, or comparable qualifications.
- A minimum of 3 yrs of experience in a production environment.
- Understanding of production planning, scheduling, and inventory control.
- A high degree of initiative, organizational talent, resilience, and sense of responsibility.
- Analytical, structured, and forward-thinking work approach.
- Team player with strong communication and conflict resolution skills. Confident and assertive appearance.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (primarily MS Excel).
