Sunshadow Aluscreen
Sunshadow Aluscreen: the king of heat protection
Brand new in the range of Solaye Fabrics: the Sunshadow 3000RR Aluscreen 2%. "An indoor screen fabric with unmatched performance in heat protection," says Stephan Martens of Solaye.
Alubedam side keeps heat out
What is special about the cloth and its "brother," the 3000 CA Aluscreen 3%, is the alubedamed backing. Stephan: "The basic fabric comes from South Korea, we finish the back side in Europe. That side faces the sun and has a high reflection value: 80% at RR ALU and 70% at CA ALU. No other fabric can match it in terms of thermal insulation. An asset for any BEN-project (nearly energy-neutral). The fabric is more expensive to buy than the standard range, but it pays for itself, thanks in part to lower air conditioning costs."
From white over beige to black
With the Aluscreens, you have a choice between an opening factor of 2 and 3%, with the latter giving a little more see-through to the outside and a slightly higher light penetration to the inside. The canvases are available in 7 colors. From white over beige and gray to black.
Combine with the Chameleon
In buildings, a combination of the Aluscreens with the Chameleon 3500 is often chosen, Stephan Martens explains. "The Chameleon combines the heat protection of a white fabric with the light comfort and see-through of a dark one. Excellent for offices and other places with screens where light must be properly controlled. For areas where heat protection is essential - think bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchens and conference rooms - then go with a high-performance Sunshadow ALU indoor screen fabric."
